In order for your website to load from Forge.bg hosting, the domain must be pointed to the correct nameservers or DNS records. This is done from the control panel of the company from which you purchased the domain, also known as the registrar.
The new nameservers can be found in the DirectAdmin panel. To do this, you need to be logged into your DirectAdmin profile on the respective server. Thanks to the new client portal, you can do this quickly and easily using the "Login to panel" button.
Once you are logged into the panel, you will see "Your Account" on the right-hand side — click the "View more" button. Select the "Account info" section and you will see the full details of your service, including the exact nameservers you need to use.
Log in to your account at your registrar (the company from which you purchased the domain) and find the DNS section. Different registrars use different names for this: DNS, domain management, etc. If there is a choice between "Default nameservers" and "Custom nameservers", select "Custom" and enter the new ones. Double-check the spelling of the nameservers before saving the changes.
Once you have finished adding the new values, the remaining step is to add your domain in the DirectAdmin panel. From the "Account manager" section, select "Domains" → "Add new". Enter the domain name (without www.) and click "Create".
That's it! Now comes the most patience-testing part — the wait. It may take up to a few hours for the changes to propagate.
If you do not wish to change your current nameservers or where you manage your DNS zone, you can point the domain using an A record. For this you will need the IP address of the service you are using. Log in to where your DNS zone is managed (where your nameservers are pointed) and update the existing A record with the new IP.
Note: this option will only change where your domain loads from. If you also want your emails to use your Forge.bg service, you will need to update the relevant DNS records accordingly.
